The regular Friday-night Meetup hike in Modjeska Canyon has gotten very popular, but the parking situation at Tucker Wildlife Sanctuary (our trailhead) means that people don't always get to find a place to park. This page offers some guidance for those who wish to carpool.

Modjeska Canyon is on the western slopes of the Santa Ana mountain range, and it's reachable via Modjeska Canyon Road off of Santiago Canyon road (click the image on the right to see the large version). It's a lovely remote community. This map shows the drive to the trailhead, along with the hike itself.

But parking is so limited that we're really trying to encourage carpooling.

Carpooling from the north

There's a shopping plaza at the southwest corner of Jamboree and Chapman (and where Chapman turns into Santiago Canyon) that's ideal for meeting:

Please park along the back (the green line) so as not to take up parking spaces for patrons of the shopping center; we don't wish to make ourselves unwelcome visitors.
